Lake Erie Nature Center in Bay Village

Want a nature-filled outdoorsy reception, shower or picture-taking venue for your wedding in the Cleveland, Ohio area? Consider using one of the facilities in the extensive Cleveland Metroparks system. Today, I am highlighting the Lake Erie Nature Center in Bay Village, on the the West side of Cleveland.

I met a friend of mine with her twins at the nature center for the planetarium show. As our families settled into our seats we were looking at a slide show featuring recent events at the Center.

Imagine my surprise when one of those events was a wedding! Once I had a good look around the Center after our tour of the solar system, I can see why a nature-lover or animal lover might enjoy wedding festivies there. The center is nestled in the Metroparks across from Huntington Beach. There is a lovely pond on the grounds completed with waterfowl and turtles. There are many other animals housed inside the center as well.

For some rental options, like renting the entire facility, you must be a member of the center. For room rental, membership is not requirement.
